Go Between is a transdisciplinary art project. Jill Sifah Sigman dances with soils significant to ecological issues, colonial mythologies, and personal lineages to listen for their histories and hauntologies. This environmental-performative practice leaves wordless marks on large-scale papers, creating launch points for dialogue about climate, land, coloniality, displacement, food security, and earth ethics. Simultaneously physical documentation, mapmaking, and storytelling, Go Between is a ritual for listening to the land.

Jill Sifah Sigman is a performance artist and visual artist who lives on Lunaape homeland in New York City. Her work blurs the lines between dance, visual art, and ecology, working with humans, more than human neighbors, and things that people throw away to orchestrate acts of kinship, reconnection and repair.
